Our story

 

Hi, I’m Lucy — the creator behind Home Grown Threads. From as early as I can remember, I’ve always had a pencil in hand, drawing and designing. That lifelong passion led me to study Graphic Design at Northumbria University and build a career in the design industry that’s spanned over 15 years.

Over time, though, I began to feel that the industry wasn’t giving me the creative freedom I craved. To scratch that creative itch, I started doodling again and opened my own Etsy shop, LucyMarieDesign, where I created art prints, wedding stationery, and personalised gifts.

For years, I’d dreamed of turning my Made in Yorkshire print into something you could wear — a way to show where you’re from with pride and style. And that’s how Home Grown Threads was born.
